SOLUTIONS aren't born.
They're built.
Glenn's background includes 30 years of data storage, data retrieval and data protection which has prepared him perfectly for the position of Lake County Recorder.

The Recorder is responsible for recording, archiving and retrieving any document submitted to be recorded. As the "keepers of history", we have to do all we can to protect that history while providing efficient, accurate and accessible information!

Our plan is simple, use technology as a tool.  We will make your data available to you as quickly as possible while ensuring your information is safe.  That is why Glenn is proposing the following initiatives once elected:
  • E-recording
  • The submitter (title company) completes the required data entry and attaches the scanned document images to a package.  Once the package is submitted, the Recorder's office will receive an alert that a package is ready to be reviewed and recorded. The package is confirmed and the documents within the package are either approved or rejected. Rejected packages are immediately sent back to the submitter to resolve all issues and re-submit.  If the documents are approved, a digital file recording stamp is applied to the document images and the final "official" images are then sent back to the submitter.   Assuming that the package is properly prepared and "approval-ready", this entire process can be completed within minutes instead of weeks.
  • Property Alerts
  • According to the FBI, property and mortgage fraud is the fastest growing white-collar crime.  That's why I will offer a free, easy-to-use, 24/7 online service that will alert subscribers, via email or text message, whenever a document is recorded against their name and/or property

Why I'm Running
Our story is the typical American dream...a family looking to live and thrive in a community that they are passionate about raising their children in.

Once we purchased our home, we left the title company full of hope.  We were told to quickly go claim our exemptions as the deadline was fast approaching.  At the time that I went to apply for my homestead exemption, I was told that my mortgage hadn't been recorded yet...AFTER two weeks!  We continued to go back and forth with the Recorder's office until was recorded.

Three days past the deadline!!!  That delay cost us an additional $1,200.00 per month for 1 year.  We struggled to maintain our home.   It was then that I said to my wife, "there has to be a better way!"  I have a better way...
